He's Home!!!!

YAHOO!!! I've been waiting for this day and this post, for 6 long months! My single mommy days are behind me, at last! I can't even begin to explain how amazing it is to be a family again and to have willing, helping hands with Jack. I feel like such a burden has been lifted already... SIGH OF RELIEF!

Kyle came home on his birthday, April 5th!!! We had known for a couple of weeks when the day would be, but for safety reasons - they ask us to keep it on the low down. Anyway, I kept busy - which helped a lot. With finishing up Jack's room, and getting the house cleaned and organized, those days flew past with ease.

We headed to the airport at about 10:45 and the torturous wait began. It was so nice that so many people came to support us. Kyle didn't get the BIG "welcome home" that usually happens on the base. He kind of had a weird deployment where he did half one with squadron and the other half with his squadron. Normally, it is a giant celebration on the base where the plane lands right in front of you and you patiently wait to see them walk off and there are hundreds of people around... it is EMOTIONAL! BUT, this welcome home was perfect in its own way. Just waiting for Kyle and one other guy to walk through the terminal at our local airport. Lots of my friends came to support us, which was just as special and had me full of gratitude for my military family.

Trying to patiently wait!

I ordered this sign from a company that does free for military! I always appreciate the support from companies..

Someone brought these cute little flags for the babies and kids to hold.. Jack loved playing with it, okay.. eating it.

Jack and his girlfriend Katelyn.. (we had a pre-arranged marriage set up for them.. )

I think there is Daddy's plane!

 First hug! And some tears...

"Stop kissing already people.." - Jack

Kyle bought Jack a little doggie stuffed animal, he is still crazy about "dog dog's."

Handing him over to his Dad for the first time.. Jack wasn't really sure what to think at first and Kyle had to try and remember quick how to hold him! It's much different with a big wiggly baby.

Looks like he is eating my face here.. that's a big kiss on the cheek. I don't mind :)

My family is together, at last!!!

Jack loved to touch the mustache.. I have no idea why, because it was gigantic and crazy looking. Kyle already shaved it off.. yay!

It is heaven having him home and watching Jack and him play together. More fun posts to follow.. we are already getting busy with home reno projects. Doing a little kitchen updating this week.. I love having my handy man back!

mini march update

Some quick pics and captions...

Jack finally got teeth!!! Not one, not two.. but FOUR of them. All within one and a half weeks. Most babies have something that help them.. not my Jack. Always with the dramatics. It was a long month just for teething alone. :) But, aren't they cute?

I'm insane and redid Jack's room. He has a very tiny room, so I think the horizontal stripes really help open it up. Thanks to my sister Lisa for being my decorating advisor via text for this. She has to be sick of my "how does this look? what about this? I hate this.. what do you think? okay, we love it? okay, i'll keep it.. for now" ramblings.

I love his sweet little face, so much. He still is horrible in the shopping cart, even when buckled, but he throws an even bigger fit in his infant seat. We are getting him a big boy one, very soon!

First time in a swing.. didn't know what to think! He looks so tiny.

A peaceful moment, with his favorite Mr. Bear.

A trip to the mall for an Easter bunny picture.. At first he thought he was sooo funny. Giggled and touching his fur...

Wait a second... where is Mom and who is this freak!? (this is my personal favorite!) ;)

An April update will have much more fun and exciting things!! PROMISE!!!!
