A 10 month old crazy baby..

Ah! In two months J will be a year old. HOW IS THIS HAPPENING???

We celebrated in fashion today.. going to Target. How many times a week do I go to target, you ask? Oh, about four. It's one of the only things that we can do when it's cold, snowing, and windy out. I still hate to get him out of the car even for that... but, if we don't get out - it's not pretty at our house! Cranky baby, cranky Momma.

I would have loved to have snapped some pictures of him today at the store. I have been trying to let him graduate from his baby seat... and learned my lesson today as to why he can't be trusted. Monkey boy was standing up, trying to jump out of the cart, turning every which way (even though I had him strapped in.) He was attracting an audience, then flirting with every lady he saw... along with clapping and waving. I kid you not, someone ALWAYS makes a comment to me, "wow, he's a handful!" YA THINK!?? For someone so little, he is full of energy and has a huge personality of part naughty, part hilarious.

Anyway - I have been so disappointed with pictures on my iPhone lately. I decided to bust out an old camera (Kyle took our new one).. so these are more clear and WAY better quality. Finally.

We are horribly bored lately. I keep hoping, hoping, and hoping for warmer weather so that we can get out at least for some walks. We tried to the other day and only made it half way down the street due to crazy wind. I'm not loving the winter with a baby...

Laundry basket rides with Momma's cell phone! He loves the Fisher Price app with the animal sounds. If you don't have it - I suggest it. Endless entertainment!
New trick... ripping apart drawers. Fun!
This is from when he was sick.. his poor little nose was so red and chapped. I think the end of it even bled once. I switched to the Boogie Wipes (yes, Boogie wipes... this is my life now) And they are sooo much better for their little noses!
Hehe! Still sick in this picture too (drool and snot, oh MY!) But, I love spiking up his hair and making Kyle go crazy with the, "he needs a hair cut!!" No way Jose. Not doing it. Not yet.
 He loves the cupboards!
A new beanie.. His baby blues melt me!

 ..... this explains itself.
And today! My goal of trying to get him on the chair every month was working out great.. until he learned to crawl and stand up. I tried for about 20 minutes...
"Is this a good enough smile, Mom? Leave me alone, I wanna play!!"

He keeps me exhausted. He is crawling at lightning speed, standing on everything.. and started cruising the furniture two days ago. I just feel like I can't keep up with him!!! He eats like a grown man. Some of his favorites are cheese, strawberries, chicken and zucchini. Still a terrible sleeper, still not great at getting his liquids.. I have to chase him with a sippy cup all day. He is "talking" a tiny bit.. mostly, "da da" and "dee dee." A few "ma ma's" when he is upset or frustrated. He learned to clap and started waving a few days ago. He laughs at most everything I do which is really sweet for me! Still loves bath time - and has a definite "night night" --- his teddy bear. I say to him, "Jack, where is your bear? Can you find him?" And he smiles and will crawl to his crib and try to grab it out. It's so fun to see them start to understand what you ask/say. (Now if only he would listen when I tell him to SIT down!)

I just love him too much, and I wish I had other things to post about - but, this is my life for right now. It's a pretty good one having him around every day. He is my joy!

9 months and more

It's been awhile since I've gotten to the computer. We have had a rough week here at our house. Poor Jack had a horrible fever all weekend long, followed by congestion, runny nose and cough. Sick babies are the WORST! Thanks to my sister for being Doc - and answering my 2,567 questions about his symptoms and what I should do for him.

Today he finally ate like he normally does, took a 3 hour nap.. and went back to tearing up the house, crawling, and standing on everything! I didn't realize how much I missed his energy until he was completely lethargic for days and only wanted to be held and watch Baby Einstein.

9 Month old picture in which he would absolutely NOT sit still. Stats were 17 lbs 9 oz, 29.25 inches! Long and lean, string bean.

Tonight he actually took a few steps with this toy!! He will be walking on his own in no time, I just know it. My life will be OFFICIALLY over then.
How many things can I pull myself up to stand on... hmmm EVERYTHING?!

Jack loves to watch and observe everything around him. I love having my little buddy to run errands with. He's pretty cute to look at, too!
Daddy says he needs a haircut... psh, whatever! Check out that mohawk. (In all honesty, I probably should cut it. He never ever sits still though and I am terrified I will end up chopping off one of his ears if I try to do it myself.)

He still LOVES his books. Will crawl into his room and sit and turn the pages and giggle at the pages. It's great!

That's pretty much my life right there. Nothing too exciting other than baby talk! We have about two months to go until we are reunited! I am so looking forward to it! And, looking forward to warmer weather. Hopefully those will be some fun posts as there is sooo much to do here in the summer, and we intend on doing it! I hope Jack is ready for adventures because Kyle says they have, "lots of bugs to poke with sticks," together. :)
